When we heard our friend Linda Durham was breeding Kato to Flirt, we were BEYOND excited about this exceptional breeding! Out of three beautiful puppies, we wound up co-owning the single male, Tambo.

The first picture we saw of Tambo was at 10 weeks old. We knew he was special and destined for the show ring. I had the pleasure of showing Tambo throughout the classes and finished his championship! He is continuing his show career and has been handled to a GCHS by Mark Goodwein.

Tambo has quite the impressive lineage: his sire is BIS BISS GCH Artisan Grouse Point Pink Panther JH, a 2016 VCA Nat’l Specialty BOB/2011 #1 Vizsla and his dam is BIS BISS Am/Intl CH Renaissance Girls Gone Wild; his grand-dam is BIS BISS Ch Grouse Point Semprfi Vorosakapink, 2004 VCA Nat’l Specialty BOB/2004 #1 Vizsla.

The breeding was a success! Mama Quinn whelped nine beautiful pups on May 18, 2015.

Black was the smallest; Blue was the largest. Black was more vivacious; Blue was more relaxed. Black had a high tailset – would it be too high? Blue could move. In the end, we chose Blue as he reminded me the most of Konnor, and he became Golden Empire’s Breaking The Bank “Keno.”

Out of the litter, Keno was “Mr. Cool, Calm and Collected” from the get-go. While he loved romping about with his littermates, you could just as easily find him on the sideline, relaxing and surveying the bedlam! Additionally, as a pup Keno’s beautiful gait was undeniable. As he matures, we couldn’t be more pleased with our boy in carrying the Golden Empire tradition of excellence. At Keno’s debut show he was awarded a 5-point Major!
